Practical and Informational: The course is a split between learning the theoretical concepts behind coaching Weightlifting, as well as hands-on experience performing and coaching the Snatch and Clean & Jerk.
What this course does for me: Athletes and coaches of all levels can benefit from this course. Whether you want to be able to refine your technique and critically evaluate yourself, learn how to periodize programs, or coach an athlete on the platform, this is the best place to start. It is also the first step to becoming certified to be allowed to take an athlete through competition in all provincial level Weightlifting events.
NCCP Workshop Coach Developer: The NCCP Competition Intro workshop is the first workshop required to start the process to become either a club level weightlifting coach or weightlifting instructor in Canada. Michael Souster has been delivering NCCP workshops since 2010 as one of Canada’s certified Coach Developers.
